ABOUT ABOUT

Join farmers, cooks, community organizers, co-op members, and advocates, for a special film screening and conversation on food, equity, and cooperatives on Wednesday, October 19.

We’ll be screening Food for Change, a documentary film focusing on food co-ops as a force for dynamic social and economic change in American culture.

We'll hear the story of Renaissance Community Co-op, a new community-owned food co-op in Greensboro, NC that celebrated its grand opening last week, from founding board member Mo Kessler who has travelled to Philadelphia to be with us at the event.

The Food Trust’s regularly scheduled Common Ground Farmers Market will take place outside of Congregation Rodeph Shalom from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will be joined by food trucks so you can get something delicious to eat before the event begins!

This event is hosted by the Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance and The Food Trust and is sponsored by Cabot Creamery Cooperative, Congregation Rodeph Shalom, the Philadelphia Food Policy Advisory Council and Weavers Way Co-op.
